So' para dizer que a odisseia ainda nao acabou. Tenho andado a espera de uma entrevista na 3f numa consultoria ambiental (www.jmp.co.uk) e entretanto nao tenho andado a concorrer a nada e nem a procura de nada...

Por acaso tive a pensar em abrir uma micro-consultoria ambiental com um colega de mestrado se for muito complicado encontrar alguma coisa... ha muitas vagas e muitos anuncios, mas ninguem quer apostar em recem graduados...

Bem, vamos ver primeiro como a entrevista na 3f vai ser

Hi Fernando,

I’ve just spoken to a couple of our directors, and they’d be really interested in attending the presentation as well. In terms of dates for the presentation, are there any that are better/worse for you? I think there are 4 of us who would like to attend, so if you could let me know when is good, I’ll arrange a time that suits us all.

In terms of employment, I understand there may be some flexibility, so I’ve forwarded your CV on to a couple of regional directors to have a look at. Unfortunately we still can’t promise anything but it’s a bit more positive than what I was initially told re recruitment!

Do you have any ideas about where you would like to work? This is just so we can check with the relevant director whether employing you in their region would be feasible. We have offices across the country (see our website for further details).

Hoje recebi dois mails:

Um de Londres a dizer que nao fui colocado para o projecto de 3 meses e outro de Manchester da empresa de consultoria ambiental a confirmar o desejo de saber mais a respeito da minha tese de mestrado.

Bem, na proxima semana teremos o meeting entao.

Fiquei triste porque ja estava com a ideia de me mudar para Londres... e dois anos a viver em Manchester e' um pouco de mais :p

Mas e' assim a vida e so' quero comecar a trabalhar... seja em que cidade for!

4 Year International Paterson PhD Cancer Research Studentships 2010

The Paterson Institute is offering first rate international graduates the chance to train for a four year PhD in one of our world class research groups. Esta semana tem sido uma seca...

Ja acabei o meu mestrado e tou a espera de uma resposta de dois lugares que concorri.

O que me lixa na Footlocker e' o facto de a maioria dos Assistant Managers terem no maximo 22 anos, trabalharem na loja a menos tempo que eu e nem sequer terem o secundario...

Haja paciencia para ter que receber ordens de pessoal infinitamente menos qualificado que eu.
